Team Overview:
Part of the Digital Client Experience (DCX) teams at Edward Jones, The Public Websites & Investor Engagement Product department is looking for a Digital Product Owner to lead product teams focused on delivering exploration tools on for the Edward Jones client experience. We combine operational efficiency with design thinking and agile delivery within a product management framework. We work with key stakeholders and business partners from across the firm to help deliver digital client experience products that enable human-centered complete wealth management.

What You'll Do:
This role will have accountability for Exploration Tools, which includes applications and features used by the firm to support investors exploring and searching for Financial Advisors, and helping Financial Advisors drive to deeper understanding of investors & clients. The position has a broad scope of responsibility and requires interpretation of user feedback, managing stakeholder relationships across the firm, deep understanding of one or more complex systems and information to make subjective decisions that have a substantial risk and/or legal, regulatory or financial implications.
Responsibilities include:
- The Product Owner serves as the individual accountable for one or more systems, leading a multi-disciplinary and cross-divisional product team to deliver value to internal and external customers of the Firm.
- Responsible to the Sr. Product Owner – Public Websites & Investor Engagement, this individual aligns strategy to execution through the development and maintenance of their product roadmap, outlining the body of work expected now, next, and into the future.
- This work includes management of system plans and supporting artifacts encompassing resource needs, stakeholder solution requirements, dependencies, timelines, milestones, and success criteria as necessary to deliver on the promised business value.
- Success in this role requires depth and breadth of subject matter experts inside and outside the Client and Branch Experience, Products & Services and Technology areas, as well as a foundational understanding of Product Management and Design Thinking theory, and the ability to expand these capabilities within the organization.
- This individual will lead their matrixed product team through influence as well as task assignment authority, mentoring, and coaching all team members to fulfill the product vision.
- This individual will additionally serve as the primary contact for issues and escalations related to their supported systems, providing as timely resolution as possible; and aligns with adjacent product teams to ensure a consistent and cohesive progression of the product strategy.
What Experience You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Master's degree optional
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience, preferably within websites and marketing automation for financial services industry or other highly-regulated industry.
- Prior experience in product management, project management or other similar role
- Working knowledge of and interest in mobile and digital technologies preferred

- Series 7 and 66 preferred but not required
- Ability to empathize with users and interpret research and analytics to make recommendations to improve user experience
- Ability to interpret business strategy into actionable deliverables on the product roadmap
- A robust understanding of full-cycle software development within an Agile framework.
