We are looking for an exceptional technical leader to join our Investment Advice and Monitoring product team as Solutions Architect.
As a Solutions Architect, you will help define the architecture that helps scale the firm's best advice and guidance to be integrated across many of our advisor tools. Specifically, you will work alongside two other architects to design of our Investment Research, Portfolio Optimization, Portfolio Diagnostics, and Tax Efficiency capabilities and ensure we are one step ahead of what the development teams need to continue building.
Using and informing enterprise strategies, you will build technology roadmaps at both the organizational and functional levels. Your architecture will encompass SaaS systems, custom cloud applications, and on-premises applications. You will be mentoring agile teams in the integration of functionality across multiple platforms.
Solution Architects work closely with product delivery developers, product owners, and product managers within their organization, across Technology functions and Firm business groups. Solution Architects also promote technical and functional application upgrades, enhancements, and industry-standard approaches to their product teams and business leaders.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Design and architect Investment Advice and Monitoring platforms combining SaaS systems, custom cloud applications, and on-premises applications.
• Guide and mentor teams on architecture, design, and integration of business software across multiple product platforms while ensuring solutions are built with performance, scalability, and resiliency in mind.
• Focus on continuous delivery to drive a seamless, modernized associate/user experience
• Participate in the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation activities within the areas of responsibility.
• Assist, mentor, and train other team members.
• Build strong partnerships and relationships with stakeholders in Product Management, UX, PMO, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and Security.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent needs
• Understanding of Product Teams and Agile methodology and practices
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Ability to communicate equally clearly with both technical and non-technical team members.
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems preferred or related work experience.
• 7 years of experience designing, developing and delivering application solutions for enterprise-level development and integration projects.
• Practical knowledge of microservices and designing/building REST APIs, as well as API management solutions such as MuleSoft
• Experience with industry-standard tools: Spring Boot, Spring Framework, JUnit, Gradle, and Maven
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database solutions.
• Experience with Linux containerization, PaaS, and Cloud technologies
• Experience with cloud-native architectures a plus
