Responsible for the building and execution of internal tools, best practices, forms/templates and systems required to manage the Supplier Management life cycle. This role will be a part of the Supplier Performance Center of Excellence (COE) and will be responsible for maintaining, improving and building the tools and best practices needed to efficiently, and effectively, run a Sourcing and Supplier Performance Management function.
This role is also responsible for increasing the firm's overall capabilities, and consistency, as it relates to managing third party supplier relationships. This includes the development and delivery of training for functional areas across the firm and acting subject matter expert to assist functional area leaders as they develop their Supplier management skills and/or need assistance with Supplier performance issues or problem solving.
This role will work closely with Firm Planning, Third-Party Risk, Legal and Financial Reporting to streamline processes, while reducing risk.
This role is does not have direct people leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
- Creation and ongoing ownership of tools, templates, and best practices provided by the COE
- Maintenance and improvement of existing policies to ensure clarity and applicability
- Act as a resource of functional area leaders as they manage supplier relationships, engaging as necessary to solve problems and suggest ways to make improvements
- As necessary, take on responsibility for a subset of suppliers who need active and engagement management
- Facilitate handoff of a signed agreement to the functional business area ensuring a clear understanding of their, and the suppliers, responsibilities
- Monitoring contracting structures to ensure effectiveness, manageability, and the sharing of trends which may provide opportunities for improvement
- Internal and external reporting of results
- Related degree required; Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain. MBA a plus.
- 3-5 years of indirect sourcing or supplier performance management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing and supplier performance management as well as broad knowledge of contracting fundamentals.
- Experience developing and maintaining supplier performance dashboards and reports
Demonstrated track record of improving supplier performance - Ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships even when delivering direct feedback
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proven ability to effectively interface with a diverse range of roles at all levels
