We have a fantastic opportunity within our Semiconductor division for a General Manager based at our Product Company Hudson.
Product Company Hudson is transitioning into Edwards Semiconductor Division following the purchase of the assets of Ceres Group, a loose grouping of three businesses, two located in the Hudson Valley, the third in Fort Colins, Colorado. As part of your role you will have the following responsibilities:
Working with the Integration Manager to drive changes to the agreed standards for an Edwards PC and establish well defined processes across all sites.- Assume the role of Change Ambassador who is accountable to lead and embed change across the sites particularly during the period of integration and there forward as part of continual improvement
- Establishing, directing, and coordinating both the processes used and the activities of employees to ensure company goals and objectives are accomplished.
- Managing all aspects of product development, technical support, manufacturing and in/out-bound supply chain.
- Developing a safe and cost-effective infrastructure that meets customer needs and helps support growth of product sales and service revenues.
- Work in alignment with the Integration Manager to develop CC and PC organisation roadmaps
- Deliver maximum synergy benefits.
- Define the road map for company systems in alignment with the Integration Manager and working with functional specialists.
- Build an effective management team across the three sites.
- Contributes to the development of business strategies, supporting activities to enhance brands, maximizing market share and improving profitability.
- Ensures resources are efficiently managed and available to support and deliver the corporate and functional technical innovations and initiatives.
- Manages the operational P&L towards reducing product and operational costs, improving efficiency and minimizing working capital
- Delivers on customer expectations towards lead time, on time delivery, quality, and technical support
- Drives continuous improvement for processes and products
- Fosters a Safety-First culture.

Education level
- Bachelor Degree or higher in science or engineering or equivalent experience.
Relevant Previous experience (minimum years of experience to competently carry out the role, not total year of experience)
- Proven extensive experience managing large teams in a technical service or equivalent operations function.
Knowledge areas/Skills (minimum level of knowledge to fullfil the role’s responsibilities)
- Proven ability to manage change in processes and organizations.
- Evidence of an analytical approach using qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques.
- Experienced in employee development and employee relations management with managerial, professional, technician and semi-skilled personnel.
- Familiarity with Semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Familiarity with engineering organization practices, disciplines, systems, and software tools an advantage.
- Experience of Project Management and engagement of both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
- Excellent communication and administrative skills.
- Excellent customer facing skills.
- Fluency in verbal/written English essential.
