Product Safety Technologist

Your role:

• Prepare formal product safety compliance verification test reports for submittal to obtain product certifications
• Participate in product design to build safe, certifiable systems
• Facilitate and maintain constant communications with engineers, technicians, and management
• Define and ensure completions of product safety milestones
• Work with test labs to perform and validate testing
• Review test results and when necessary conduct testing
• Conduct product review and inspections according to standards requirement
• Participate in standards organizations to set the path for safety standards
• Contribute to user manuals and training programs
• Ensure product designs/documentation conform to correct certification standards
  
  
  

To succeed, you will need:

• BS/MS degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience working in product safety and compliance preferred
• Solid safety technical background and hands-on experience in safety certifications of complex products and executing risk analysis to eliminate safety risks
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, safety certification
• Experience with product safety standards and regulations in the US and world markets
• Experience fielding safe commercial or industrial products and installations
