This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction for day services program, clients, and staff, while providing direct support, positive direction, and assistance to clients in accordance with program policies and procedures; and personal outcome measures.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide oversight for the Day Services Program
- Supervise staff and clients
- Welcome and assist new clients to ensure they are comfortable and satisfied
- Plan and implement appropriate daily activities for clients
- Assist clients in completing a daily program of activities which enhances their social skills, cognitive ability, and overall well-being
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Demonstrate promptness and efficiency
- Cooperate with and maintain a good rapport with staff and clients
- Motivate the clients to attend and participate in all activities and programs
- Maintain a working knowledge of each client and his/her specific needs.
- Schedule and attend staff meetings and trainings to ensure proper communications and collaboration among all staff and consistency and continuity in program operations.
- Maintain client records and complete all required documentation on a daily basis
- Ensure all required reports/documents are completed on time and complete documentation audits to ensure compliance in the areas of safety, transportation, files, logs, contact notes, MARS, goal tracking sheets, etc
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory bodies
- Ensure all clients health needs are met, including but not limited to doctor/dental appointments/visits, medication, monthly safety topics with fire and tornado drills, client meetings, and assist emergency situations as needed
- Provide support to clients by assisting in achieving their personal goals and desires, providing interaction and choices for activities that support a meaningful day, and support clients to be independent in activities of daily living
- Maintain open communication and cooperative work effort with other staff to assure quality and continuity of support for clients
- Support Eeroma Resources’ Mission, Vision, and Core Values while empowering each client to direct their own life choices
- Ensure that clients exercise their rights and that rights are not restricted without due process, ensure clients are treated with dignity and respect
- All other miscellaneous duties as assigned
