EFCO Corporation SUMMARY: The drafter accurately extracts information from the EFCO quote, architectural drawings and specifications to create all difficulty levels of shop drawings with moderate supervision. All shop drawings shall accurately portray project information including floor plans, elevations, project specific details and special product applications. The drawings will then be used in the customer approval process, factory order process and in customer material fabrication and product installation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create conceptual floor plans, elevation and detail drawings using contract documents that in turn will be used for customer approval, ordering material, customer material fabrication and product installation. Work in a team structure to manage, process, and resolve project application, structural requirements and installation sequencing. Develop a comprehensive understanding of all EFCO window, storefront, curtain wall and door products, and have the ability to translate that knowledge into a working set of shop drawings. Maintain multiple projects at the same time while staying within time restraints and communicating any deviation to the shop drawing scheduler. Generate a project specific submittal package that will be presented to the customer and architect for approval. Maintain established EFCO shop drawing procedures and drafting standards. Investigate and resolve customer concerns with deliveries, production, quality and any other issues arising from a relative problem. Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner. Adhere to EFCO policies and standard operating procedures. Any additional duties assigned by their manager. Participates in EFCO's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. COMPUTER SKILLS: AutoCAD Mechanical 2000 or higher and Inventor 3D software, Windows 7, MS Word, Excel, AS400 CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required.
