What are the responsibilities and job description for the VMC Associate position at Effectual?
Position Summary
VMC Migration Engineer Associates (VMEAs) are members of the Professional Services (PS) team who have a strong understanding of VMware and are seeking to translate that knowledge to VMware CloudTM for AWS (VMC on AWS). VMEAs are paired with current Effectual VMC Migration Engineers (VMEs) to become proficient in the deployment, configuration and management of VMC on AWS. Upon achieving proficiency, CMETCs are promoted to the role of VME and leverage their strong understanding and experience working with and supporting legacy workloads to help customers understand what a migration to VMC on AWS entails, the expected level of effort (LOE), potential Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and projected Return on Investment (ROI). VMEs use their in-depth understanding of VMC on AWS to achieve successful migrations to the cloud that increases operational agility and creates new opportunities for customers. Effectual VMEs are “Brand Ambassadors” that demonstrate Effectual’s experience, expertise, and execution prowess, daily.
What makes a successful VMEA?
VMEAs are passionate about learning and growth. They want to embrace new technologies and push themselves to acquire new knowledge while applying past experience to their work. VMEAs are self-starters who always push themselves to accomplish more. VMEAs perform at their best when faced with difficult challenges that may have stumped others – this is seen as an opportunity to apply the full breadth of their knowledge and skill while revealing areas where additional learning is needed.
