Maintenance Job Description
Our company is seeking a highly skilled technician to work out of our production facility in Marshall Texas. You will be responsible for installing, repairing and monitoring industrial processing and production machinery. You need experience with PLC electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems or any combo. All qualified, responsible applicants are encouraged to apply. We offer a competitive salary and paid time off.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery.
- Perform PM routes and work orders
- Perform planned work during extra days and planned outages.
- Perform equipment inspections and running PMs on certain equipment.
- On team spill response team member.
- Complete all documentation associated with work order and PM System.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot and maintain feeders, screw and air conveyors, electrical systems, mixers, mills, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- Report replacement parts needed and perform repairs.
- Work with maintenance manager to continually update the production process and system software.
- Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime.
- Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools.
- Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications.
- Maintain parts and tools inventory.
- Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends.
- Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma of GED
- Minimum 1-year industrial maintenance required.
- Perform troubleshooting, problem solving, and countermeasure activities on all production and facility equipment
- Perform mechanical maintenance, including electrical (480V, 208V, 277 V, 120V, 24VDC) and controls-related troubleshooting
- Dismantle machines or equipment using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects and repair or replace
- Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned Work Requests and Checklists
- Installing conduit and wiring for new equipment installations
- Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics
- Advanced understanding of PLC and electrical systems
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
- Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Advanced technical or college training preferred
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics
- Understanding of PLC and electrical
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Technical or college training preferred.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
