What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tender position at EFP, LLC?
Position Summary
The Tender position is responsible for tending and operating machines that package product. The position is fast-paced and requires a high level of observation and communication with coworkers.
Key duties include:
- Tending or operating machines that packages product
- Removing finished packaged items from machines and separating any rejected items
- Regulating wrapping machine flow, speed, and/or temperature
- Addressing any machine malfunctions in accordance with established procedures
- Securing finished packaged items by hand tying, sewing, gluing, stapling, or attaching fastener
- Replenishing packaging supplies
- Removing any waste from production areas to maintain safe environment and improve efficiency
- Maintaining and improving 5S activities, keeping work areas clean, orderly, safe for all team members
- Communicating frequently with coworkers and leadership
- Working in a fast-paced, efficient, and safe manner
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak English language
- Basic math skills, including counting, adding, and subtracting
- Ability to stand or walk at a fast-pace for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 30 pounds
- Frequent squatting, kneeling, bending and stooping
- Requires use of steel/composite safety toe shoes, safety glasses, and earplugs for safety
