Overview:
Egan Company is seeking candidates for a Project Manager position located in Champlin, MN to join our team! The* Project Manager is responsible for expanding the industrial controls business, including concrete batching controls, engineering services for the panel shop, and solutions as well as managing all aspects of each project. *** *This role could also be a Hybrid role, so working in the office and at home.***
Responsibilities:
- Prospect for new concrete batching customers and maintaining relationships with existing concrete customers. Must be willing to make cold calls by phone.
- Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns and trade show opportunities.
- Attend product shows.
- Conduct site surveys and estimate projects specific to concrete batching.
- Estimate industrial controls solutions per plans/specification requirements and owner-direct opportunities.
- Write scope proposals based on estimates.
- Help promote service agreements for Concrete Batch products.
- Establish relationships with end users, key contractors, and engineers in the concrete industry.
- Assist in the development of future sales goals.
- Track sales activities and forecast sales opportunities in CRM.
- Promote, as appropriate, cross-sales opportunities to include: mechanical, plumbing, electrical, building automation, fire, security systems, and monitoring.
- Managing projects within budgetary and time constraints.
- Closing out job with maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Providing technical and management advice and assistance to project team members.
- Facilitating and resolving problems and issues associated with assigned project from inception to closeout.
Qualifications:
- HMI, PLC, and Rockwell products
- Concrete, pre-cast and batching products.
- Industrial Controls engineering.
Additional Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree or two years of experience or Associates degree and four to six years of strong, relevant experience within any of the following:
- Operation of manufacturing/production equipment within the concrete industry.
- Technical sales experience
- Engineering Applications
- Self-Directed/Independent.
- Working knowledge of current estimating processes and procedures.
- Ability to present to both internal and external groups.
- Ability to learn and promote other areas of the business.
- Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Google Suite of Office products
- Proficient in the use of standard office equipment to include telephone, copier, and fax.
- Strong organizational skills to deal with competing customer needs.
- Strong negotiation skills required.
- Valid driver’s licenses and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
- Performance of duties in the office and job site and the percentage of time spent in either place will vary, but is estimated to be 80% office and 20% offsite within the Twin Cities metropolitan area and occasional travel is required out of state due to proximity of customer base and tool and product shows.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Normal working hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm.
