Overview
Egan Company is seeking candidates for a Shop Foreman position on its Curtainwall / Metal Panel Construction Team located in Champlin, MN. This individual would work with the InterClad Team.
Responsibilities
This person is responsible for working with the Operations Coordinator, Shop Crew, Project Managers, CAD, Shop and Field labor associated with commercial curtain wall and cladding system within time constraints while meeting customer’s requirements. This position would be a full-time position, reporting to the Business Manager. Hands-on work setting up and running the crew. This individual would be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operation of the fabrication shop including the following:
- Labor management
- Schedule management
- Fabrication
- Quality Control
- Project deliveries
- Equipment operation and maintenance
- Safety
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Curtainwall industry with specific fabrication and/or installation experience.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of equipment and Curtainwall fabrication procedures.
- Ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and reacts to these appropriately.
- Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as MS Project. Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, calendar, docs, sheets, and drive) helpful.
- Strong organizational skills to deal with competing customer needs.
- Ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and reacts to these appropriately.
- Preferred: manufacturing or plant supervisory experience.
