Registered Nurse

Eagle Global Scientific is seeking Registered Nurses to assist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC), Office of Safety, Security and Asset Management (OSSAM).  OSSAM serves as CDC’s lead organizational entity for providing a safe, secure, functional, and healthy workplace environment for employees. This includes ensuring the health and safety of our workforce during public health emergencies by providing monitoring, examining, diagnosing, testing, and other preventive care measures to help prevent disease and possible spread.   EGS will provide on-sight nursing services to the Occupational Health Clinics at CDCs two main campuses in Atlanta, GA.  Tasks include:   Provide assistance with occupational medical examinations Provide assistance with medical clearances Implement routing and emergency response occupational health services Perform nursing interventions for similar exposure groups (SEGs) and reviews individual health risk assessments for enrollment in SEGs Performs nursing interventions for occupational health visits: Surveillance, Occupational, Non-Occupational, Medical Clearance Exam, Pre-travel consultation, and Walk-Ins Reviews medical histories, prior clinic visits/interventions, immunization histories, and travel histories Reviews questionnaires, risk assessment worksheets, non-FTE forms, and other documents used to assess occupational health service needs Reviews destination-specific international travel guidance, special considerations, emerging infectious disease threats, and vaccine recommendations Measures vital signs, administers immunizations, tuberculin skin tests, spirometry testing, and vision tests; performs 12-lead electrocardiograms Performs phlebotomies or other interventions for diagnostic testing and treatment of exposures or potential exposures Consults with medical providers as needed Documents interventions in CDC’s electronic medical record system Performs other clinic and patient care activities (e.g., disinfect exam rooms, stock exam rooms, inventory pharmaceuticals and other supplies) Participates in quality assurance/quality improvement activities, including, chart reviews, development of review criteria, development of plans for improving performance and evaluation of effectiveness of actions Monitors Duty Nurse electronic mailbox and responds to inquiries and other correspondences. Assist with clinic front desk coverage, including answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, and checking staff in for appointments, as needed to cover urgent gaps in front desk staffing
