Law firm seeks 2 years’ recent paralegal/legal assistant experience in real estate, business, or estate-probate matters. Successful candidate will have strong DRAFTING and LITIGATION skills, reasoning ability, communication skills, technical savvy, and ability to track multiple projects simultaneously.
PRIMARY job duties:
- Answer phones/emails with staff, courts, clients, vendors, and third parties;
- Update Clio with case status, calendar items, contacts, time, and expenses;
- Initial drafts of documents for review/revision by attorney;
- Research legal issues;
- Extensive phone and email contact within and outside the firm;
- Notary.
SECONDARY/soft-skills:
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English required, Spanish a plus);
- Organizational skills: attention to detail, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines;
- Initiative: act within guidelines to accomplish goals; recognizes limits;
- Professionalism: punctual, professional, courteous.
In-office position with 2 attorneys.
***Office is TEMPORARILY IN GEORGETOWN TX through APRIL 30, 2022.*** Candidate *may* start on May 1, 2022 if unable to commute.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
