The Higher Education Consultant will be responsible for leading the development of a new service offering at Eide Bailly focused on student financial aid program compliance.
The Consultant will use their knowledge of student financial aid practices and laws to support public and private higher education clients with compliance, fraud prevention, and other needs related to student financial aid.
Typical Day in the Life
A typical day as a Higher Education Consultant might include the following :
Present at various higher education association meetings and conferences and use those opportunities to develop business for the Firm.
- Research new and existing regulations and laws related to student financial aid and apply this knowledge to the client's challenges, potentially developing new or additional business for the Firm.
- Write articles relating to issues impacting higher education, specifically student financial aid.
- Provide onsite and offsite consulting services to higher education institutions related to student financial aid.
- Manage client relationships with integrity by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
- Develop new product offerings related to student financial aid based on identified needs of clients and prospects.
- Capitalize on personal and professional experiences to develop business and practice lines.
- Provide internal educational sessions to staff to increase awareness of higher education industry and student financial aid issues.
- Market services and cross sell services offered by others within the Firm.
- Actively seek and provide feedback to develop the Higher Education Consulting practice.
- Provide training and delegate duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff when appropriate.
- Manage client billings to ensure they reflect work performed.
- Participate in community organizations and industry functions.
Who You Are
You have 10 years of experience working in or with public and / or private higher education, specifically in student financial aid.
Experience overseeing a higher education student financial aid program is preferred.
- You have extensive knowledge of the higher education industry, student financial aid, and the reporting requirements for student financial aid programs.
- You are excited about the opportunity to build a new service line focused on student financial aid program compliance.
- You are a skilled networker and can attract new clients to the Firm.
- You are comfortable preparing and delivering engaging presentations to large audiences.
- You have critical and analytical thinking skills.
You are able to explain complex concepts and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
- You are a multi-tasking master and there has never been a deadline you could not meet.
- You can effectively maintain and build working relationships with coworkers and clients.
- You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and related programs.
Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
Benefits and Compensation
Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local / state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
Salary range : $115,000-$200,000
