Job Description
The Production Operator is responsible for performing a variety of manufacturing functions; i.e. assembly or creation of products, with involvement from creation through completion.
- Operates machinery, transport material, verify dimensions of product and perform required quality inspections
- Daily review and completion of required production paperwork
- Detect and report defective materials and/or questionable conditions to the Production Supervisor
- Uphold quality and safety standards by performing operator level preventive maintenance, and checks & services on machinery as required
- Follow prescribed safety regulations by ensuring that the work area and equipment are clean, safe and orderly
- Operate forklift as needed
Qualification
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as production orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Knowledge of basic machinery set-up
- Ability to use calipers
- Able to work in a team environment and utilize good judgement
- Willingness to earn forklift certification
