Electric Monster is a rapidly growing content creation studio founded in March of ‘21 that acquires and grows digital video brands in the general entertainment space. The team at Electric Monster is a diverse mix of ambitious digital video veterans and people looking to make their mark on our industry. As we continue to grow, we are in search of a HR Coordinator to join our talented team and help shape the future of digital content.
Position Summary
The HR Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the HR/Finance department with implementing workflows and processes that create a more productive work environment. A successful candidate will be one that is customer service oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn. This role will support the HR Director in the development and ongoing success of initiatives including talent acquisition, benefits, training and development, onboarding, and succession planning programs.
This position is Hybrid, with a minimum of 1 day a week attendance at our Studio's located in Burbank, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Support full recruiting cycle from sourcing to offer - creating a positive candidate experience despite the hiring outcome (tasks include but are not limited to: posting positions to job boards, reviewing applications for internship and entry level roles, communicating frequently with candidates in pipeline, scheduling interviews, and tracking recruitment workflow).
- Conduct phone screen interviews for entry level and internship positions as needed.
- Maintain personnel files such as processing, verifying, and entering data into HRIS and Google Drive.
- Manage lifecycle of interns with providing ongoing support and ensuring that college institution requirements are met for each intern.
- Facilitate the pre-employment process, ensuring all necessary documentation and background checks are completed.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
- Support successful delivery of HR projects, processes, and programs.
- Resolve first tier employee and HRIS inquiries; prioritizing by either deadlines or urgency with the guidance of the HR Director.
- Collect, organize, document and escalate all critical information for employee grievances, or disputes.
- Help organize company events, workshops, and holiday parties.
- Monitor and replenish office supplies, ensuring staff members have the resources to successfully complete their jobs in office.
- Complete clerical tasks such as - note taking, filing, collecting mail, etc.
- Serve as the first point of contact and a resource for policies, benefits, and HR related information for full-time, part-time, and contracted staff.
- Ad-hoc tasks assigned by the HR Director.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of basic employment laws and regulations such as ADA, ADEA, Title VII, OFCCP and EEOC preferred.
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace, and can easily pick up on other project management software utilized by the team e.g. Airtable, Monday, etc.
- 4 years previous experience in customer service, or client facing roles.
- Must be detail oriented and highly organized with good follow-up and follow-through skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills while maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Solutions oriented with the attitude of approaching a problem with optimism.

Base Salary: $53,000 - $58,000 DOE
