Job Summary: Management of Quality assurance on the Program from design to test and production, including supply chain, management of go-to-green plans with internal production and suppliers.
Essential Duties of the Role:
Quality focal point with Customer, assures compliance with customer quality requirements
Manages quality of design activities at system level: development reviews, approves released documentation
Performs the Quality Requirement Review for US based qualification tests, oversees qualification tests
Program Supplier Quality Monitors supplier compliance with the quality standards & flow downs
Validates Production Parts Approval Process (“DVI”) on delivered hardware
Approves First Articles (FAIs)
Manages supplier non-conformance on defined scope
Performs supplier audits and improvement/recovery plans on defined scope
Program Product Quality
Enforces quality requirements in production process.
Performs 8D/Improvement/recovery plans
Performs In-Process/Final Inspections as required
Maintains a neat, orderly work area and assists with general department housekeeping.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Education
High school diploma/ GED Required
4 year college degree preferred
Experience
5 years or more experience supervising manufacturing operations in a quality assurance role.
Practical experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools, tool usage and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Competent in problem-solving tools such as 8D methodology
A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
Highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn and apply new skills
Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments
Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately
Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, vendors and employees of the organization
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
Must have regular attendance
