Business Analyst

Overview

Our client in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a mid-senior level contractor to join their team as a Business Analyst (Remote). This position is funded for five months through December 31, 2022.

Responsibilities

· Gather, develop, coordinate, and maintain business requirements for various projects and/or systems from initial phase to final implementation, assuring requirements meet standards. Manage program budgets, timelines, and resource allocation and assignments. Develop and manage user acceptance criteria.

· Assist in the development of project definitions, cost/benefit and risk analysis, work plans, progress reports, and presentations

· Interact with users, other portfolios, and vendors for the full life cycle of the project

· Troubleshoot, coordinate, and maintain production systems/programs/applications.

· Produce scheduled and ad hoc reports as necessary. Monitor and summarize the progress of projects. Assist in maintenance and communication of project status reports and tracking

· Provide user support and coordinate resolution of issues to include change management, root cause analysis, and appropriate escalation as needed

· Develop use cases and functional specifications and coordinate the capture of process models and functional testing, ensuring the system is functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated.

· Transition product support to systems operations.

· Manage technology vendor relationships, including contract execution and scope definition.

· Manage and participate in testing activities, refine and debug programs, and obtain required user acceptance documentation.

· Prepare user documentation and participate in end-user training.

· Lead multi-disciplinary teams managing complex technology projects. May supervise junior level Business Analysts.

· Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge, and physical requirements as required by duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on current workloads and department needs.

Qualifications

· Requires any combination of education (above the high school level) and/or experience equivalent to five (5) years in fields utilizing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above and associated with such positions as Programmer Analyst, Business Analyst, or Management Analyst.

· Must have, or obtain, a current and valid Virginia or North Carolina driver’s license in accordance with Virginia or North Carolina DMV driver’s license eligibility requirements.

· Experience with ServiceNow Application Preferred.
