POSITION SUMMARY
Provide exceptional service to hotel guests. Welcoming all guests and ensuring that they are attended to at all times. Setting up, breaking down and maintaining the breakfast area safely and efficiently while in compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management.
Complies with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags and proper guest greeting. Knowledgeable on hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate. Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices and regulations. Impresses guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.

- On time and at work when scheduled and in proper uniform.
- Ensure breakfast items are set up and continually replenished in a visually appealing manner.
- Knowledgeable about the entire property, services, hours of operation, events, near by places of interest etc
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Prepare and consistently maintain breakfast dining area and supplies in a guest ready friendly atmosphere
- Carry food, dishes, trays, utensils to serving counters
- Preparing foods such as fruit and milk machines or dispensers.
- Responsible for stocking coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers.
- Wiping up spills and maintaining cleanliness of all appliances and counter space throughout the breakfast shift.
- Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
- Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silverware prior to use.
- Clean as you go. Maintain cleanliness of work and guest areas throughout the shift.
- Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.; Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean glassware, dishes, or trays.
- Maintain the inventory of all breakfast products.
- Able to work with point of sale software and inventory software.
- Locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning.
- Work as a team member in aspects such as: cleaning, side work, food preparation and storage.
- Close out shift by cleaning and restocking supplies for next day or shift.
- Ensure guests are provided with the highest quality service at all times.
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
- Practice safe work habits and use required safety equipment.
- Any other duties around preparation, set up and service of the breakfast.
- Attend department meetings as scheduled.
- Any other duties / tasks as requested by management.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to resolve basic matters. Ability to follow an appropriate course of action based on policies and procedures.
Ability to operate a computer, calculator, telephone, vacuum cleaner,. Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective communication skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient. Ability to satisfy the legal requirements for employment within the jurisdiction. HOURS:
The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift
days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.
Typical Hours for this position are 5:00AM – 12:00PM
QUALIFICATIONS
The Company may consider equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience providing the knowledge,
skills and abilities cited below.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school education or equivalent experience. Strong customer service; food & beverage knowledge ; familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered "inside" if the worker spends approximately 75% or more of the time inside
Work is normally performed in an interior hotel environment. While performing job duties, the associate speaks, listens, completes documents, processes requests and operates equipment such as a telephone, calculator, computer, and vacuum cleaner. Physical requirements include ability to frequently move around the hotel property; remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time; constantly positioning self to maintain work area, including under counters and tables, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The job requires close vision with or without corrective lenses.
