Overview

ELEMENT2 is collaborating with a prominent Rhode Island company to identify a highly qualified Controller/Director of Finance to lead their financial team. The Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance, particularly within a manufacturing context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and conducting regular reviews of internal financial reports.
  • Oversee the general ledger accounting process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Utilize ERP software for comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with public accounting standards.
  • Apply advanced financial concepts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Provide expertise in technical accounting matters, including GAAP and SOX compliance.
  • Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to guarantee timely collections and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and monitor budgets aligned with the organization’s financial objectives.
  • Implement and maintain SOX compliance procedures to safeguard financial integrity.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in a financial leadership role, such as Controller or similar, within a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles and practices, with a strong focus on cost control processes, including cost accounting and standard costing systems.
  • Proficiency in accounting software for effective financial management and reporting.
  • Familiarity with public accounting standards and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage regulatory reporting accurately and efficiently.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting processes and financial forecasting.
  • Experience in leading financial teams, promoting collaboration and performance excellence.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems to facilitate data analysis and reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $160,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
