The Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance, particularly within a manufacturing context.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and conducting regular reviews of internal financial reports.
- Oversee the general ledger accounting process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Utilize ERP software for comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with public accounting standards.
- Apply advanced financial concepts to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory reporting requirements.
- Provide expertise in technical accounting matters, including GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Supervise accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to guarantee timely collections and accurate reporting.
- Develop and monitor budgets aligned with the organization’s financial objectives.
- Implement and maintain SOX compliance procedures to safeguard financial integrity.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in a financial leadership role, such as Controller or similar, within a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles and practices, with a strong focus on cost control processes, including cost accounting and standard costing systems.
- Proficiency in accounting software for effective financial management and reporting.
- Familiarity with public accounting standards and practices.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage regulatory reporting accurately and efficiently.
- Solid understanding of budgeting processes and financial forecasting.
- Experience in leading financial teams, promoting collaboration and performance excellence.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems to facilitate data analysis and reporting.
