The Production Worker is responsible for performing various tasks in the production or assembly process to create products in a manufacturing environment. This role involves working with machinery, equipment, and manual labor to meet production targets and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery, equipment, or tools according to established procedures to perform tasks such as cutting, molding, assembling, or packaging products.
- Participate in the assembly process by following blueprints, diagrams, or written instructions to put together components and create finished products.
- Inspect products during and after production to ensure they meet quality and specification standards. Identify and report any defects or deviations from the expected outcome.
- Move and handle raw materials, components, and finished products, either manually or with the use of material handling equipment.
- Keep track of inventory levels for materials and components, report shortages, and assist with inventory control measures.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production volumes, quality checks, and any issues or deviations from the production plan.
- Work closely with other members of the production team, including supervisors, quality control inspectors, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth production processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production is a plus but not always required, as many entry-level positions are available.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift, and carry moderate to heavy weights.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to product quality.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
