Financial Consultant
Location: This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate should live within 50 miles of our Elevance Health Pulse Point primary location in Indianapolis, IN . Candidates living within 50 miles of an Open Access Pulse Point will also be considered.

How You Will Make An Impact
- Month End Close activities: prepares monthly journal entries; compiles Service Center base information for cost allocations; runs monthly cost allocations and reviews for anomalies; and publishes monthly rate deck, to name a few.
- Identifies complex financial problems or issues, researches solutions, and implements corrective steps to achieve higher level of efficiency
- Advises management of various financial models and recommendations
- Prepares complex presentations
- Interfaces with operational leads to prepare forecasts and budgets
- Prepares financial planning, financial section of annual and quarterly reports to shareholders, applicable government reports, and budget reports
- Deltek Costpoint Administration: Manages account and organizational changes and annual set up of the financial system
- Provisional Rate preparation and submission
- Monitors, updates, and tracks policies and procedures
- Is used as a resource by staff or outside departments
- Trains and reviews the work of lower level Financial Analysts
- Requires a BA/BS in accounting or finance and a minimum of 3 years experience in general accounting, finance, or budget and planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
- Federal government contracting
- Software: Deltek Costpoint; TM1 forecasting and planning tool; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
