**Description**
The **IT Business Systems Analyst Sr (Financial Applications)** collaborates with Business and IT partners to facilitate and support the development of detailed scope statements and high level business requirements in development efforts.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Builds and maintains strong relationships with Business and IT partners; liaison between business and IT
Provides the link between the technical and the business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.
Works with IT developers to deploy code to production.
Identifies opportunities to support business activities; collaborating on business opportunities and solutions.
Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge
Anticipates and identifies customer needs and matches products and services to facilitate the fulfillment of those needs.
Create and monitor key performance indicators; adhere to Service Level Agreements
Supports development of customer strategy plans and technology solutions to meet business requirements
Responsible for using their knowledge of software programs and business strategies to help maximize productivity and communication.
Works closely with the Manager, Product Owner and Product Manager to establish priorities; build & develop roadmaps
Leads the development of high-level requirements, documenting detailed system or business requirements for small to large size efforts
Builds manual and automated test cases, use cases, conducts system and QC testing, documenting test results; requires an understanding of testing/product quality processes
Troubleshoot environment or application issues; first point of contact for user issues
Develops and maintains system documentation
Assists with training needs, supports key business and IT initiatives, supports application upgrades and patch testing for development, test and production environments
Supports Audits
Adheres to all standard operating procedures; change management procedures, reporting requirements
On-call/After-hours responsibilities
Minimum Requirements:
Requires Bachelor's degree in related field, technical degree, 5 or more years of related experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
This position is part of our FGS (Federal Government Services) division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of knowledge with a variety of financial & reporting applications and technologies, i.e. Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Time & Expense, Cognos, Cobra, TM1, Hyland requisition software, budget & planning software preferred
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with software vendors to resolve issues
Excellent problem-solving skills
Experience developing business requirements, automated/manual test cases & testing
Excellent working with application developers, customers, support personnel and management
Excellent writing skills to prepare documentation, training materials, status reports
Organization skills to balance and prioritize work
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
Experience with test automation software such as LeapWork, Jira, Zephyr, Eclipse, Cucumber are preferred.
