Job Summary:
The Medical Director is responsible for ensuring the clinic integrity of the Radiation Oncology AIM solution, making sure the program improves the appropriateness of care, improves patient outcomes and reduces cost. The Radiation Oncology solution covers radiation therapy, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), external beam radiation therapy (EBRT), proton beam therapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), brachytherapy and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. The Medical Director leads the clinical development of the solution, including the overall strategic approach, program design, and clinical underpinnings (clinical evidenced based guidelines that are the foundation for the interventions which will be made by AIM on behalf of its clients.) The Medical Director contributes to program innovation and evolution over time to increase efficiency and impact.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Participates in Sales Meetings with prospective clients and leadership.
- Supports client Implementations and supports clinical leadership after implementation.
- Supports the call enter clinical teams.
- Evaluates the solutions performance regarding impact and helping tto analyze expected versus actual and the causes for any discrepancies.
- Synthesizes feedback from providers received directly through the call center and and through our clients to identify opportunities for improvement from an ease of use perspective and from and impact perspective.
- Provide the clinical expertise necessary to create a clinical, evidenced based program to improve appropriateness of care and reduce cost in the Rehabilitative Medicine clinical domain.
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Content and Authoring Team, the Solutions Team and Operations, to bring the conceptual "program" to reality
- Support sales team and client executives with sales and client management activities as needed and be a clinical resource for them as well as our clients
- Participate as a member of the CSSDS team supporting the other members in their efforts and activities as possible
- Monitor competitors' products, emerging companies and technologies as sources of ideas for innovation and improvement.
- Collaborate with others to continually drive innovation and improvement that support greater value and ease of implementation and use.
- Stay abreast of clinical developments and advances in the specific domain and ensure that as appropriate they are incorporated into AIM's solution.
- Ability to represent the public face of the solution by interacting with professional societies, patient advocacy groups, government agencies, and the press and lay public as needed in collaboration with AIM marketing and communications.

- Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define strategy and successful criteria for the future.
- Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.
- Documents strategic priorities such as external environment and reports on customer insight research initiatives.
- Builds and leverages relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
- Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.
- Responsible for the development implementation and monitoring of line of business planning and project activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 to 5 year strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Ability to travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Radiation Oncology by ABRO.
- Expereince in clinical coding.
- Expereince with population or segment health management.
- expereince leading competitive product offerings in the healthcare industry and National Accounts expectations.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $244,800 to $440,640.
