Description:
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to maintain the ground, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed.
- Perform Routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
- Clean Windows and screens as directed.
- Replace burned out light bulbs, including exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties wherever necessary.
- Service heating and cooling units/system, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
- Attend departmental and staff meetings as directed or called.
- Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
Qualifications:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
- No experience required, but some preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.
- Must be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes, labor laws, etc.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
