Responsibilities of the HPC Systems Analyst:
- Devise, develop, or modify procedures to solve complex scientific application problems
- Prepare detailed specifications from which scientific domain-specific programs will be written
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and validate those programs
- Indicate how they will work with the team to resolve challenges
- Regularly provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/programmers
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience porting applications to both on-premise and cloud-based HPC systems
- Experience in performance analysis and optimization tuning
- Ability to provide implementation support of complex scientific workflows and associated applications
- Experienced in the identification and containerizing of scientific applications and user-based solutions that are suitable for containerization
