What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Integrator position at Eliassen Group?
Eliassen Group is supporting one of our clients in the search for a Systems Integrator/more specifically Telecommunications Integration (PM Tactical/Mission Network).
This position will be a 6-month contract to hire opportunity and hybrid twice a week onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground. This person must also have an active DoD Secret.
- Lead the Project Manager Tactical Network Technical vehicle integration efforts to include the operation, design, installation, and technical evaluation of all tactical radio vehicle mounted products.
- Lead the vehicle integration efforts during Network Integration Exercises (NIE), operational test events, and other government required test events to help verify and validate the vehicle integration requirements.
- Review technical documentation, technical drawings, and assist to perform all required RF and environmental tests on the tactical network system and safety requirements.
- Actively participate on the vehicular design review process attending systems review and test events.
- Work with the vehicle platforms and the Systems of Systems Integration and Engineering teams to design, review, and verify the vehicle integration of the new radio systems.
- Lead the acquisition of new tactical systems, new vehicular antennas, and RF interference mitigation devices among other things.
- Recommend changes and improvements to the tactical systems, processes, test, and technical documentation as required.
- Directly interface with the ARMY vehicle project managers and their network integration leads to define and assess funding cost estimates, and define assets required to complete the tactical systems integration into the ARMY vehicles.
- Effectively interact, and interface with members of the Program Executive Office (PEO) Command, Control, Communications-Tactical (C3T) Army acquisition workforce, the Army’s vehicle platform community within PEO Ground Combat Systems, and PEO Combat Support & Combat Service Support.
- Take initiative and complete tasks as assigned with limited supervision.
- Provide regular updates, and weekly status reports back to leadership to communicate progress of assigned tasks.
- Plans and manages integration assignments, progress and evaluates results.
- Research applicable documents such as Capability Development Documents, Capability Production Documents, product specifications, and Army Regulations, to develop engineering efforts to support program milestones.
- Coordinates with US Army acquisition personnel to determine and develop appropriate engineering solutions for Government Programs. Monitors vendor activities to ensure adequacy of their contracted engineering process and products to ensure they meet contracted government requirements.
- Oversee Critical Design Reviews (CDRs) and ensure adequacy of design plans, Production Acceptance Tests (PATs), and test execution, and closure on all PAT test issues.
- Attend evaluations, testing, fielding and report issues as required by PM.
- Correct failing or incomplete designs to meet PM requirements.
- Work with Assistant Product Managers, Product Leads and PMs to understand interfaces and address and resolve integration issues.
- Review system evaluation plans, evaluation strategy reviews, and provide input to the PMs.
- Review system assessment reports, for adequacy, accuracy, and identification of issues.
- Serves as Electronics and mechanical engineer, with duties as identified below.
- Oversee or conduct Test and Evaluation Working Integrated Product Teams (T&E WIPTs) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and ensure adequacy of associated test plans, procedures, and test execution, and closure on all test issues.
- Ensure military tactics, techniques, and procedures used during testing are current and representative.
- Attend testing and report of test results and issues as required by PM.
- Evaluate test data, assess risks, and develop test result summaries for leadership briefings, Suitability Statements and Milestone Decisions.
- Work with Assistant Product Managers, Product Leads and PMs to understand interfaces and address and resolve integration issues.
- Review system evaluation plans, evaluation strategy reviews, and provide input to the PMs.
- Review test plans, test procedures, test reports and system assessment reports, for adequacy, accuracy, and identification of issues.
Salary : $115,000 - $148,000
