Key Responsibilities:
Collaborative Relationship Building:
Foster strong, collaborative relationships with architects, operations, and engineering teams.
Network Design and Implementation:
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available networking solutions.
Innovation and Roadmapping:
Contribute to the future of networking within our organization, evaluating new technology, building roadmaps, and collaborating with other teams for industry-leading solutions.
Process Improvement:
Continuously improve business-as-usual (BAU) processes and procedures.
Tooling and Security Controls:
Build out tooling, monitoring, and security controls.
Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning:
Own the network aspects within DR plans and processes.
Automation and Documentation:
Promote an automate, tool, and document culture, analyzing and implementing solutions to reduce complexity and toil.
Incident Response and Change Management:
Participate in on-call cover and Incident Response, playing a key role in change management controls.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Work with customers, partners, and vendors to articulate requirements and shape appropriate solutions.
Who You Are:
With 3 years of experience in a similar role in enterprise and datacenter networking, you possess the following:
Key Criteria for Success:
Hands-on experience in firewalls, switching, and L2/L3 principles.
Configuration and administration expertise in resilient corporate and datacenter network infrastructure and devices.
Knowledge of management and automation technologies.
Familiarity with security controls, access models for local and distributed workforces.
Proactive monitoring, logging, and corrective action capabilities.
Excellent analytical, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting skills.
Solid understanding of network design principles, resilience, and industry best practices.
Experience documenting solutions, specifications, and high-level designs, with the ability to develop policies around BAU and change.
Quick to identify opportunities in new capabilities, with a passion for technology and problem-solving.
Advocacy for automating everything and documenting everything.
Strong team player, organized, and a safe pair of hands.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in Checkpoint, DELL, Meraki, and ESXi network services.
Experience in and around multi-site enterprise, Managed Service Provider (MSP), datacenter, and cloud technologies.
