What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central MA Regional Director Kid's Net position at Eliot Community Human Services?
MSPCC, a division of Eliot is seeking a Regional Director for our statewide foster parent support program. A Bachelor's degree and at least three years experience in human services and experience with the Department of Children and Families is required. Bilingual skills a plus.
Kid’s Net provides a range of services to connect foster and kinship families to the information, resources, respite, and support networks they need to address the unique challenges that come with raising foster children. Kid’s Net partners with DCF to engage foster families through trainings, support groups, as well as connection to a network of experienced foster parent mentors.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) staff and foster parents under the direction of the Director of Adoption & Foster Care Services to provide service delivery of components of Kid’s Net contract including child care, respite and training.
- Provide regular and ongoing supervision of regional Family Resource Liaisons (foster parent mentors)
- Assist in spreading the word to new and existing foster parents through the Massachusetts Approach to Partnership in Parenting (MAPP) training and other opportunities throughout the year in order to increase utilization of Kid's Net services.
- Assist in the development of a wide variety of trainings and trainers for both staff and foster parents.
- Provide supervision for Regional Kid's Net Assistant.
- Work with Kid's Net Assistant and any foster parents who contact Kid's Net to connect them to the information and resources they are seeking, either within the Kid's Net program or through connection to other resources in the community.
- Provide visibility in the community to raise awareness of foster parenting.
- Participate in program improvement initiatives.
- Utilize a customer service and solution focused mindset in working with foster parents.
- Develop collaborative relationships with DCF regional and area office staff including: Family Resource staff & supervisor(s), Area Directors, Regional Director, Clinical Manager, and the Foster Care Recruiters and ambassadors.
Schedule: Monday - Friday with flexible schedule 30 - 40 hours p/wk.
This position is based in Worcester and is partially hybrid.

Education
Required- Bachelors or better in Social Work or related field
- Masters of Social Work or better
