JOB SUMMARY Lead Payroll Administrator is responsible for overseeing payroll procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and tax obligations, and maintaining accurate payroll records. This role will serve as the payroll subject matter expert to departments, including the Human Resources team, and all employees across the organization, provide payroll guidance and ensure all payroll-related matters are solved. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIESReport to Controller on payroll issues and be the liaison to HR and Legal on payroll items;Stay up-to-date on state and federal payroll and tax laws;Ensure an accurate and timely payroll, including base pay, payroll taxes, 401(k), statutory and supplemental benefits, etc;Assist with month end close process including preparation of accruals, reconciliations, and analytics;Answer employees’ questions about salaries and tax; and train the field on timecard submissionsProcess semi-monthly and bi-weekly multi-state payroll for US non-exempt and exempt employees, utilizing ADP WorkForceNow;Complete State Census reporting, state registrations, and determine Nexus issuesConduct annual 401k audits and assist in annual auditsDocument Payroll Procedures and conduct regular review of compliancePerform other payroll related duties, including ad hoc projects/data requests as needed; REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Accounting.3 years’ experience processing payroll in a fast-paced, high growth environment.QUALIFICATIONSExperience with ADP WorkForceNow required;Experience with ADP SmartCompliance required;Familiarity using Excel and spreadsheets;Excellent written and verbal communication skills; PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSCan be Hybrid (3 days in office preferred.)
