JOB SUMMARY
Our Paralegal is responsible for supporting the General Counsel in management of the legal affairs of the organization, ensuring compliance with dental regulations, and providing support to the dental practices within the network.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support and assistance to the Office of the General Counsel.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient legal operations.
- Corporate Formalities: Ensure compliance with corporate formalities, including corporate filings, registrations, maintenance of minutes, etc.
- Regulatory compliance: Stay abreast of federal, state, and local regulations governing the dental industry.
- Contract management: Draft, review, and support in negotiation of contracts. Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and protect the organization's interests.
- Practice Sales, Mergers, Acquisition and Integration: Provide legal support for corporate transactions, including due diligence and contract drafting and support in negotiations.
- Assist with the closure, merger, or integration of newly acquired practices into the DSO network.
- Risk Management: Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide guidance to dental practices on risk management and liability issues.
- Litigation Support: Manage litigation and claims, including coordination with external counsel.
- Assist with investigations and dispute resolution as needed.
- Process records requests in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Training and Education: Provide training to dental practice staff on legal and compliance matters.
- Maintain all legal documents in Legal Files.
- Develop educational materials and resources to promote legal awareness within the organization.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Certification as a paralegal or similar qualification
- Corporate and or DSO experience a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 years of experience working in a legal role, preferably in the healthcare or dental industry.
- Strong knowledge of dental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing legal projects is preferred.

- Ability to work in an office environment full time
