Veterinary Regional Manager
PetVet Care Centers is a Network of over 465 Specialty and General Practice Veterinary Hospitals across the nation. Each location is operated locally and supported globally. The right candidate will have a Multi-Unit Operational background in a Client or Customer facing Healthcare Services Organization: Veterinary, Human Medicine, Retail Medical (Eye Care, Rehabilitation etc.).
Overview
The Regional Manager will oversee 15-18 hospitals and will report to the Director and VP of Operations, and will must live in Northern California. The role of the Regional Manager is to support the Hospital Administrators, Managers and Medical Directors to deliver quality care and meet their financial goals while creating a positive employee and client experience. The Regional Manager is responsible for financial results in an area of Hospitals and Clinics generating $40-60MM in combined annual revenue. We require a hands-on approach to finding the best local solutions for our Pets, Clients and Community.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Achieving plan revenue and managing controllable costs
- Developing service focused Doctor / Client communication
- Staff development, engagement and retention
- Doctor retention and recruitment
- Regional acquisition onboarding support and facilitation
- Lead a team of 15-18 hospital managers
Tactical Focus
- Work with Hospital Managers and Medical Directors to develop behaviors which positively impact engagement, revenue and cost control
- Review scheduling efficiency with managers regularly to adapt to the needs of the business
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of pricing and inventory control
- Identify and prepare written plans for internal revenue building and marketing efforts
- Work with the Medical Directors to anticipate DVM needs and initiate recruitment
- Challenge and coach Managers to handle personnel issues and develop an accountability
- Review facility, equipment and inventory needs and discuss at weekly or biweekly intervals
- Oversee and participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
Qualifications
Prior Experience
- Four-year college degree
- Hospital management or business degree a plus
- Multi-Unit management required
- 2-5 years in Veterinary or Human Healthcare preferred.
- Capability to work efficiently in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership ability
