POSITION SUMMARY
The Homemaker will perform delegated homemaking, general assistance and companionship and other delegated duties for clients/patients of all ages and families in their home or other designated facility.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

â—¾ Report and record clients' needs and responses to the appropriate supervisor.
â—¾ Adhere to client/patient safety and infection control policies and the plan of care.
â—¾ Utilize supplies and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
â—¾Report identified problems with equipment and supplies to the Supervisor/Clinical Manager/Director.
â—¾ Communicate and cooperate with other members of the home care team.
â—¾ Report to the Scheduling Coordinator any delays in performance of assigned tasks which may interfere with the plan of care.
â—¾ Perform client/patient and family homemaker responsibilities including, but not limited to, routine housekeeping, laundry, marketing and other shopping needs, planning and preparing meals, and providing guidance on a proper nutrition, health, and hygiene habits.
â—¾ Perform light housekeeping, including but not limited to, dusting, dry mopping, vacuuming, washing dishes, making beds and changing linens (as needed), mopping kitchen and bathrooms, light laundry and some ironing, emptying trash, shopping for food and household supplies or doing simple errands for the client, and preparing simple meals, which may also include planning meals for the evening or next day.
â—¾ Perform client/patient and family companion responsibilities including, but not limited to, companionship for clients/patients, accompanying the client/patient on appointments and errands (Note: cannot drive or ride with clients), socialization for children or the elderly (reading, walks, play activities and visiting neighbors).
â—¾ Ensure confidentiality of employee, legal, client/patient, budget, and all company matters.
â—¾ Ensure security of confidential materials.
â—¾ Initiate and seek participation in department quality improvement initiatives.
â—¾ Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide home health care service throughout Southern New Hampshire
Education
⚬High School diploma or equivalent required.
⚬ Successful completion of homemaker training program preferred.
Licensure/certification - Include due date if licensure/certification is required after hire.
⚬ Must maintain a valid and current driver’s license required.
⚬ Proof of automobile insurance required.
Experience -
Six (6) months of experience in a related field preferred.
