The Role You Will Play: Facility Manager
As the Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of all internal and external areas of the building to include safety, security, grounds, sanitation, pest control, and contractor coordination.
- Manage daily projects to support the needs of the facility. Manage and assign work as appropriate.
- Responsible for appropriately monitoring and inspecting fire and refrigeration systems with appropriate documentation.
- Maintain all current OSHA SOP’s and information.
- Trains management staff on emergency response, including roles and responsibilities. Responsible for developing procedures and training with local fire departments.
- Facility Manager will direct and discuss with Maintenance Associate(s) the daily projects and expectations.
- Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the facility. This includes routine cleaning of the office space and the entire warehouse. Maintaining the white lines, sweeping under the racks, rack cleanliness, assisting with spillage cleanup, floor scrubbing, etc.
- Responsible for Integrated Pest Management. Enforced by continual repetitive efforts both inside and outside of the facility. Responsible for trend analysis from the inspection data.
- Manage and operate within annual budget.
- Responsible for the entire Powered Industrial Truck Fleet.
Background Profile: Facility Manager
- A minimum of an Associate’s degree (Bachelor's degree in engineering degree preferred); or 3 to 5 years facility maintenance experience with a minimum of 2 years management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years of experience in a Facility Management Role with a proven track record of similar duties.
- Must be experienced with electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, pneumatics and hydraulics, welding, light fork-lift or machine repairs, etc.
- Must have a strong knowledge of national standards that relate to facility management.
- Strong communication skills both orally and written required. Must be able to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Work requires significant attention to detail in safety, recording, logging, and inspecting.
- Must have demonstrated ability to use a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, Autocad, email, and internet.
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
- Physical requirement: Must be able to work at 50’ elevation from the ground.
