What are the responsibilities and job description for the eLearning Developer position at Elwyn?
POSITION SUMMARY: In coordination with content developers and subject matter experts (SMEs), the eLearning Developer translates content to design and develop technical and non-technical learning modules within an eLearning development, authoring, and delivery platform for use by Elwyn management, frontline staff and service providers to support Elwyn's strategic goals and the needs of the Elwyn learning community. The eLearning Developer ensures the smooth and effective functioning of eLearning modules and special projects starting from, but not limited to, managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting small- and large-scale technology-related eLearning programs in relation to Elwyn initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to perform needs analyses and implement appropriate eLearning and development solutions to meet identified needs
- Using sound development techniques, design, develop, and maintain training aids, materials, curriculum, and training records as necessary
- Utilize eLearning authoring and design principles to create technical training materials (qualification plans, computer-based modules, job aids, videos, etc.) in coordination with service area and support department content developers, SMEs, consultants, and vendors
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of both technical and non-technical learning materials
- Manage multiple tasks, establish project deadlines, and deliver according to established timelines
- Build strong partnerships with SMEs and engages stakeholders as appropriate
- Converts existing curriculum modules and collateral training materials to on-demand curriculum modules to be leveraged on Elwyn's digital knowledgebase
- Work with subject matter experts and operations to keep curriculum materials updated as assigned
- Implements webinar recordings into the Leaning Management System as needed for tracking, progress, and completion
- Provides troubleshooting and assistance for eLearning courses by interfacing with users/customers and providing support and expertise with LMS via communication channels
- Leverages CSS, HTML5 and JavaScript to customize user experience
- Ensures appropriate processes are in place to maintain and archive training source information and files
- Incorporate creativity in order to appeal to a diverse, global audience
- Build relationships with stakeholders, subject matter experts, project managers, and training development team members
- Comfortable working both on-site and remotely with project managers to produce outstanding eLearning
- Work independently while understanding the necessity of communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology business, or related field; Masters degree preferred
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of instructional design and implementation
- Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in training adult learners, including but not limited to conducting needs assessments, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating training, and developing in a variety of modalities.
- Demonstrated ability to organize complex information into hierarchies, flows, taxonomies, or other structures to clearly convey information to learners
- Familiar with communication and collaboration platforms like WorkPlace, Slack, Box, Dropbox, BlueJeans or GoToMeeting to work with team members remotely
- Ability to work collaboratively with the broader team to ensure course alignment
- Proficient in course development software: Adobe Articulate 360, WalkMe
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), proficient in Intellum Exceed LMS a plus
- Comfortable supporting distance learning and leveraging webinar platforms
- Non-profit human service experience highly preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervision
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions
- Experience using/knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) / Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred
- Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record
- Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Publisher and report-writer preferred
