POSITION SUMMARY: The SQL Server Developer partners with the development team in support of new and existing data solutions to enable informed business decisions. As a SQL Server Developer you will serve as a technical expert within the data analytics team participating in the analysis, design, and implementation of business intelligence solutions, Extraction, Translate, and Load (ETL) processes and databases required to integrate various data systems into a data analytics architecture.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design data and file migration workflows including loading, extraction, transformation, and cleanup analysis to build and maintain an Azure analytical environment
- Design, develop and maintain Azure data stores (data warehouses, data marts and related information repositories) to support organizational reporting, analytics, and integrations
- Design, implement and tune relational queries, stored procedures, and triggers for optimal performance to create and maintain efficient resource utilization and user experience
- Establish performance and reliability metrics for data stores, reports, dashboards, and analytics tools to rate and improve user experience
- Create and maintain supporting documentation including data dictionaries, data flows and database schemas necessary to document database environments and ensure maintainability
- Collaborate with business partners, IT team members and vendors to define and implement solutions that meet organizational objectives that support reliable business decisions
- Evaluate, isolate, and secure personal identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) to protect our clients, staff, and business partners.
- Perform all duties utilizing IT industry best practices to maintain and delivery consistence, reliable solutions
- Remain knowledgeable on emerging technologies to improve your ability to recommend and build future solutions

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, statistics, or information technology or related fields or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree
- At least four (4) years' experience of hands-on SQL Server Developer experience
- Extensive proficiency with Microsoft SQL server, transact-SQL, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Extensive proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Visio, Word, and Excel
- Experience with data transformation and data interfaces such as Extensible Markup Language (XML), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), and Application Programming Interface (API)
- Experience using statistical computing software (R), interpreted high-level general-purpose programming language (Python), and interactive data visualization software (Power BI)
- Experience with Azure cloud operation including blob storage, data factory, data bricks, data lakes and synapse analytics
- Non-profit human service experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail

- Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
