ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

Emagine IT has an immediate need for an Associate Consultant to join our team in support of our Commercial Services team and contracts located in Bethesda, MD (Remote available). Candidate must be eligible to receive a government clearance.

Responsibilities include:

1. Execute, examine, interview, and test procedures in accordance with NIST SP 800-53A Revision 4; Ensure cyber security policies are adhered to and that required controls are implemented

2. Validate respective information system security plans to ensure NIST control requirements are met

3. Develop resultant SCA documentation, including but not limited to the Security Assessment Report; Author recommendations associated with your findings on how to improve the customers security posture in accordance with NIST controls

4. Support development of System Security Plans, Continuous Monitoring Plans, and Incident Response Plans in accordance with NIST requirements

5. Prepare, review, and/or update, and maintain IT Security supporting artifacts

6. Aid in identifying information security problems and challenges, researching and developing technical solutions to rectify them

7. Develop Security Authorization Packages that are compliant with Risk Management Frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, HITRUST, CMMC, and DoD requirements under the supervision of senior staff members.

8. Assist in the review and analysis of Security Authorization Packages for completeness and compliance with FedRAMP and DoD requirements and participate in client interviews to complete Security Authorization Packages and Security Assessments.

9. Ensure existing systems Security Authorization Packages remain up to date throughout the life cycle

10. Build a customer-focused relationship with client(s); Collaborate across multiple internal teams to ensure successful delivery of results based on scope of work.

11. Establish standards and procedures to minimize risks; Support working sessions with client to ensure expectations and direction are aligned and timelines are being met.

Minimum Requirements:

12. Bachelor’s degree (four-year college or university) or equivalent combination of education and experience

13. Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in the IT industry, with strong familiarity with the applicable NIST Special Publications 800-37 Revision 1, 800-53 Revision 4 or 5, and 800-53A Revision 1

14. Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain technical matters to a non-technical audience

15. Ability to assist team members with proper artifact collection and detail to client’s examples of artifacts that will satisfy assessment requirements

16. At least one of the following industry recognized certifications: Security , GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF), ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

17. Broad based IT background with a technical understanding of networks, protocols, security configurations, cryptography, identity and access management, and the systems development life cycle.

1. Security focused or industry certifications such as an, AWS Security Architect Professional, AWS Security Specialist, AWS Associate Architect CAP, CASP, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, CRISC

2. Additional industry certifications, such as AWS Solutions Security Specialist, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Certifications, or other
