We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our growing team. The Financial Analyst will report to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis and will be based in Portland, Maine. This role will perform financial analysis, develop management reporting and play a significant role in the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes. Responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting: prepare month-end financial review package, including consolidation of subsidiaries, with written analysis of actuals compared to budget and prior periods.
Report Building: take the lead in the building of on-demand reporting packages, including key performance indicators, leveraging the existing accounting and CRM system. Assist in the development of new robust management reporting by product and function.
Financial Analysis:
Interact with leaders in all functional departments to prepare ad-hoc forward-looking analysis with recommendations.
Budgeting/Forecast:
Assist in building of annual budgets and quarterly forecast by working with key stakeholders for inputs and maintaining and improving existing data models.
Commission Reporting:
Manage the commission reporting process including data compilation, statement automation, and journal entry preparation.
Cross-Training:
Align closely with Accounting to assist as necessary and to serve as back-up on key functions.
Desired Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
2 - 4 years of related experience preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Report writing experience with NetSuite ERP and Salesforce CRM a plus.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Takes initiative to improve existing processes and controls
Detailed organizational skills to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met
Ability to work flexible hours and travel as necessary
