Job Title: Electrician

Job Summary:   

EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for an Electrician in Suffolk, VA.  The Technician will report daily to the EMCOR Site Supervisor and support him to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment.  Primary responsibilities of this position is to be responsible for the more complex electrical issues associated with facility and performing general maintenance of equipment as required.  Knowledge of and capable to perform electrical maintenance/repairs and various general tasks assigned.  Qualified applicant must be a US Citizen, possess a valid driver’s license and have at least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working in an office/commercial facility maintaining the electrical responsibilities and dealing with a wide range of general type services.  Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Respond to electrical issues, lighting repairs/bulb replacements, circuit failures and installations.
• Electrical maintenance and repair skills. PM, troubleshoot and repair equipment as required.
• Performs a wide variety of corrective maintenance work request.
• Communicates effectively with Site Supervisor to determine service needs. Coordinates and supervise client sub-contractors while performing service on site.
• Assist the Team in maintaining, operating and troubleshooting the electrical systems, emergency generator, lighting systems and general maintenance issues such as plumbing and other general maintenance problems.

• Assist other skilled employees to perform projects as requested.

• Building automation monitoring and adjustments.

Qualifications:    

• HS Diploma
• 3 – 5 years of experience related to office/commercial electrical facility maintenance.

• Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance – Active clearance preferred.
