Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Manages the following:
- Freon Reclaiming
- Removal of Scrap and trash materials
- Maintain the extra’s uniforms
- Maintain fleet of delivery vehicles and spares
- Maintain Job Board and work schedules
- Tracking and supporting labor hours
- Support facilities
- Assist with returns/RMA’s
Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience overseeing 2 or more individuals
- Leadership Skills and ability to manage staff
- Possess basic skills in MSOffice Suite applications.
- Possess forklift certification or be able to quickly obtain certification.
- Background working with trades (i.e. Electrical, HVAC, etc.).
- Must have ability to have a flexible work schedule. There are intermittent demands for supporting after-hours and weekend work.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
