Job Description
Reports directly to the Project Superintendent
Must be able to learn
- Knowledge of basic piping systems
- Must be literate with basic print and sketch interpretation
- Fundamental construction skills with use of hand and power tools
- Minimum two years in piping field or fabrication shop
- Identify and gather material for installation.
- Measure, cut and prep piping for installation.
- Layout and installation of piping supports.
- Layout piping routes, with assistance if needed, from project drawings.
- Support all project craft personnel as needed.
- Determine and completely understand safety requirements for each task.
- Assist with installation of piping systems and equipment.
- Assist with testing and start up of piping systems.
- Properly trained to operate lifts, equipment and power tools as needed.
- Removal and disposal of scrap or excess material to the specified areas.
- Communicate any foreseen project goal hindrances, regarding design and
