University Mechanical is currently seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician for our Anaheim CA location. The Desktop Support Technician’s primary role is to ensure the stable operation of PC’s, laptops, printers, telephony, and connected equipment. Responsibilities include planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all network attached hardware and installed software. Ability to communicate with all levels of co-workers is a must. Some travel to job sites and our San Diego office, as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist employees and provide a high level of customer service when providing support as it relates to responding to helpdesk requests.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, software, tablets, printers, phones and additional equipment located on-site and in satellite offices and jobsite locations.
- Set up and take down equipment from employees' workstations including computers, monitors and related components.
- Monitor and analyze Help Desk entries to ensure clients' needs are properly met.
- Determine when to escalate an issue to the next level required.
- Organize and coordinate activities associated with installation, deployment, and upgrade of software, hardware, and voice/video resources.
- Provide on-going education and training to users (Proper use of IT equipment, IT related SOPs, Cyber Security...).
- Propose changes or solutions to products and services for optimal business results, as well as investigate customer relationship problems.
- Analyze business processes, assesses and defines customer specifications and requirements, proposes business solutions and services needs to satisfy customer requirements, and facilitates solution design, building, and testing.
- Keep constant communication with the IT Manager and keep him/her informed of all Network related issues.
- Willing to work extra hours when needed.

- Project management and prioritization skills in a busy IT environment.
- Demonstrated strong client communication/interaction and business skills.
- Troubleshooting abilities consisting of Windows 10 operating systems, network connectivity, PC hardware and Software, Smart Phones, Video Conferencing and VoIP.
- Network knowledge and connectivity troubleshooting experience (WIFI, VPN, DHCP and DNS).
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills - candidate must be comfortable working within a group setting and independently.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees and external entities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with prioritization and organizational skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
