Southern Industrial is looking for a Payroll Clerk to work out of our Raleigh, NC office. This is an in office position.
Pays employees by calculating pay, deductions, and entering employees time into the Timberline payroll system. Organizes and files both paper and electronic time sheets.
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong planning and multitasking skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills, flexibility and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
