Your Role:

The Stockroom Supervisor directs all stockroom activities on a specific shift and promotes a "Safety First" environment. The Supervisor maintains safe working conditions throughout the stockroom area by taking corrective action on unsafe conditions and leads by example. This position is responsibility for stockroom layout, production schedules, material flow, procedures, and work instructions. The Supervisor manages a team of material control clerks to ensure the accurate picking of production parts, the efficient movement of material and the timely management of inventory levels. This role may require travel up to 50% in the first year for training at other EMD locations.


  • Coordinates training and supervision of hourly employee activities; administers plant rules and procedures; recommends employees and candidates for hire, promotion, demotion, transfer, disciplinary action and/or termination.
  • Effectively manages the work schedule for the plant to prevent idle time, and provide for the optimal use of personnel, machinery, and material. This includes the proper use of any established work standards.
  • Perform material movements and other actions in ERP System
  • Perform all duties necessary to receive, store, issue and package raw materials and assembled equipment in the storeroom area. The candidate must wrap, package, weigh, stencil and label materials and packaging.
  • The employee will count and collect materials using a pick list and deliver them to the manufacturing area. This includes transferring material to manufacturing, office and cleanroom pass-through. The employee will count inventory, package products and complete transactions in SAP and enter information in software systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring incident reports and associated corrective actions are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assists in the review of labor and manufacturing costs as they relate to production. Analyze and recommends methods for reducing these costs.


Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a logistics or manufacturing role
  • 1 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment


Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in logistics or a technical related field
  • Experience working with ERP systems, SAP preferred
  • Experience working with CAD programs / Solid Works
  • Experience with stockroom or storeroom material management
  • Proven ability to empower, coach and mentor employees
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proven ability to successfully present information to groups of various sizes
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and e-mail applications
