PURPOSE
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will partner with businesses to achieve a successful transition in the workplace. Additionally, you will provide direct supervision of a pre-determined group of Warehouse team members for activities including receiving, inventorying, pulling, staging, tracking, minimizing damaged/lost products, being proactive in handling customer inquiries, and managing new products as well as customer-owned goods. The position will ensure that the warehouse crew’s work provides exceptional customer service through high-quality work performed in an efficient manner, ensuring a smooth workflow and flawless execution. Successfully supervise assigned duties and task performance (Cost, Quality, Safety, and Delivery). Provide development of other team members for future growth opportunities and maintain cohesion within their group. This position also requires accurate and effective communication to Customers, Managers, and Operations.
This position is expected to work varied work hours, 40 hours per week, but hours can vary depending on workload demands.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
· Oversee and manage warehouse staff, including training and supervising new employees.
· Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all members of the staff while in the warehouse.
· Identify potential punch items and enter punch paperwork for the damaged products received in the warehouse
· Ensure that all products are received, pulled, and inventoried accurately and efficiently.
· Ensure timely product receiving or communication within three business days and meet deadlines for item input into COG.
· Ensure accurate tracking of all products by managing, monitoring, and tracking inventory levels.
· Has extensive knowledge of warehousing, capabilities, and operations.
· Has a working knowledge of inventory systems and data management, including SnapTracker and Hedberg
· Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies within the warehouse
· Review all inventory reports and recommend adjustments in client inventory as appropriate
· Serves as a communication link with all other service areas within the organization
· Identifies and effectively resolves problems within the warehouse department
· Ensure scheduled maintenance and upkeep of dock doors, forklifts, order pickers, and other miscellaneous items are being completed on a routine basis.
· Communicates daily work plan to team members, including breaks and redirection
· Demonstrates effective communication skills by conveying information accurately and listens effectively to resolve problems
· Provides problem-solving capabilities to support options to ensure warehouse success
· Responsible for daily time capture of the warehouse team.
Requirements
· Able to utilize technology to expand our services and capabilities
· Able to maintain accuracy in inventory systems
· Able to build inventory platforms in Excel
· Able to understand and utilize our scheduling tool, Service Trax
QUALIFICATIONS
HS Degree preferred
1 years’ experience leading or supervising work preferred
3 years’ experience in warehouse work or similar experience
Forklift experience is highly preferred
Basic computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite and Snap Tracker
Understanding of financial reports and concepts
Ability to read and write English and to read small print.
