Assistant Superintendent

Description

1 In conjunction with Regional Manager assists with all aspects of our Construction/Erosion Division. Including but not limited to ordering materials, scheduling inspections, ordering USA’s, acquiring proposals, completing billing, acquiring PO’s, meeting deadlines.

2 Review sites and crews for quality assurance, job completion, material waste/used, cost control, cleanliness.

3 Regularly visit Storage yards/containers for inventory levels and cleanliness.

4 Coordinate and assist material deliveries, confirm locations and assist with unloading and staging. 

5 Maps- update map folders and laminate crew map binders, communicate with clients for onsite map updates.

6 Assist in training of crews with how to complete work orders, install material, safety tailgate meetings.

7 Pull and mark up maps ahead of time so crews complete the correct install.

8 Work with Dispatcher to make sure the prior days W/O’s are complete with all required information.

9 In conjunction with Regional Manager ensure jobs are on schedule, on budget, and up to Emerald standards.

10 Help Regional Manager coordinate subcontractors for successful, timely, and cost-effective completion of projects assigned.

11 In conjunction with Regional Manager monitor onsite vehicles and equipment to ensure proper use, care and upkeep.

12 Help Regional Manager coordinate delivery and return of rental equipment required for cost effective completion of projects.

13 Help Regional Manager ensure that accident and incident reports are filled out properly.

14 Sets the example and provides leadership and motivation for all employees.

15 In conjunction with Regional Manager, implements and administers company policies, protocols, and procedures.

16 Ensures that all employees and equipment project the high Emerald brand standards to our clients and the public.

17 Promote a culture of efficiency & productivity, in the field and in the yard. This includes optimal involvement in the morning dispatch

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of Construction Experience

Storm water / BMP installation Knowledge preferable

SWPPP knowledge Preferable

Knowledge in Sage 100 Contractor

Scheduling Experience

Familiarity with Running Crews

Ability to Multitask

Customer First Mentality

Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Schedule Flexibility

Willing and able to work weekends when needed 

Compensation depends on experience
