Key Responsibilities
- Repair transformers and other power distribution equipment with a special emphasis on welding.
- Breakdown and repair pole type transformers.
- Learn and work different positions on the assembly line.
- Perform quality check on repaired unit before it leaves workstation.
- Estimate repair costs of single-phase padmount transformers.
- Operate forklift, overhead crane and other material handling equipment as needed.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
The ideal candidate will embody the following characteristics and possess the knowledge , skills and abilities listed below :
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
- Hardworking.
- Physical ability to perform medium work, exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally and / or in excess of 20lbs force frequently.
- Comfortable working in extreme heat and cold.
- Experience in polemount transformer repair required.
