Plant Manager

Emerge is actively recruiting for an experienced and skilled Plant Manager to focus on the development of skills in the operation of our client's facility including, but not limited to plant personnel, day-to-day production that meets the needs/ demands of a quality product to the customer, safety, maintenance and transportation.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Implement proper procedures of the Start-up and Shut Down of the Chlorine Dock, Acid Dock, Ammonia Dock, or any area which would require a start-up /shut down under the direction of the Branch Manager
• Prepare orders for the timely delivery of our customer product, including tank installations.
• Review and understand chemical quality control reports to ensure chemical product tests are properly recorded and our products meet the required sales specifications
• Lead and manage a team of production staff
• Identify and address any process improvements or system issues that may impact the facility's efficiency or quality with the Branch Manager.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as proper use of PPE, confirmed space entry, hot work and hazardous energy control programs, etc.
• Foster a culture of safety and quality within the facility
  
  

Education/Experience:

• Experience in production management, with a preference of chemical production.
• Minimum of two years of college experience in management and/or manufacturing processes.
  
  

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills in English, including the ability to address anticipated issues with employees, customers, outside vendors, or any outside governmental agencies.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team of production staff and a commitment to strive with continual improvement resulting in a future management position.
• A commitment to safety and quality, with the ability to promote a culture of safety and quality within the facility.
