What are the responsibilities and job description for the Final Assembler position at Emerson Electric Co?
This position is located in Pearland, Texas. This position is first shift from 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. However, overtime may be required as early as 6:00am or as late as 6:00pm any day of the week. Responsibilities - Perform assembly of mechanical components requiring fitting, adjusting, and/or fabrication of products to include but not limited to: using hand and power tools to install fastening devices such as studs, nuts and bolts; installing insulation blankets with snaps; mounting transmitters with hose clamps; and stripping wire ends to place in a junction box - Use spec sheet to verify accuracy and placement of assembled components making adjustments as necessary - Fill product with water, monitor pressure gauge, and document readings for hydrotesting - Polish exterior finish before crating - May measure, cut, and assemble wood to crate finished product - Perform multiple production tasks to allow for effective job rotation - Participate in continuous improvement processes - Perform daily organization and cleanup of work area - Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision - Perform work of miscellaneous nature
Qualifications:
Requirements -High School Diploma or GED -One (1) year of experience with tools and devices listed below -Ability to use various hand tools to include but not limited to: screwdriver, wrench, ratchet, and wire stripper -Ability to operate various power tools to include but not limited to: electric drill with buffing pad attached, table saw, chop saw, and pneumatic stapler, nail gun, and wrench -Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures, height gauges, and calipers -Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure and compare measurements to spec sheet to determine compliance -Ability to read pressure gauge and record findings -Ability to use carts and manual lifting devices to move products within the shop -Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Highly Preferred -Experience working with valve assembly or repair or performing other similar mechanical assembly Work Authorization No calls or agencies please.
